(Our ship...the Carnival Legend)
Ok, so our trip was phenomenal! So terrific! Hurricane Ike kept us from going to Grand Cayman. The winds were too big for the tender boats (at some ports, the cruise ship can't get into the actual port, so they drop anchor away from shore and smaller boats taxi you in...in case you didn't know). Thanks Ike. :)
So we had an extra day at sea then went straight to Honduras. The extra day at sea was a bit much for me. I was ready to start seeing the world...but I tried to be patient.
Honduras was cool. We went on a "fun bridge"...you'll notice that I am on the "chicken bridge" (so named by Ryan, our tour guide) to take the picture. <--Yep, that's why I went on the safe bridge. :)

We also got to meet two macaws up close and personal. It was fun to know that I had this exotic bird hanging out on my shoulder. :) Larry is so adventurous that this was right up his alley. And, of course, we all loved the monkeys. Ok, honestly, Dalton wasn't crazy about them. He liked them, but not having them ON him.

Dalton was sooooooooooooo excited to go on the waterslide on the ship. This waterslide was on top of the 11th floor of the ship and was 3 stories above that. You went out on the 9th floor, climbed 2 flights of stairs, then climbed the stairs for the slide. And my 3 year old went down it all alone. 5 times. He would have done it more, but we made him stop. :)
Doesn't Larry look extremely relaxed? I can tell you that at this exact moment, he was thinking, "Man, that's a lot of water."
This is a bit of paradise in Belize. This is the pool I got to hang out at during my solo-shore excursion. No one else wanted to go to the eco park I went to visit, so I went on the tour alone. While I did that, Dalton stayed in the daycare on this ship, Larry drank some rum, and Mom & Dad sat with Larry. Then they all went shopping.
Ok, this is long enough, so I will write more about our day in Cozumel another night. :)
